ALPINE DIALOGUE Brief melodies or rhythmic fragments as a starting point - playfully sounded out, then reworked and condensed through a process of improvisation. The pieces are records of one moment in time: not final, not worked out to the last detail, not rounded off. Unpolshed, sharpedged, playful, played with, at times dancelike (elephants can dance, too...) Kurze Melodie- oder Rhythmusfragmente als Ausgangsmaterial - spielerisch ausge- lotet und improvisatorisch weiterverarbeitet, verdichtet. Die Stücke sind Momentaufnah- men: nicht endgültig, nicht bis ins Detail ausgefeilt oder abgerundet. Ungeschliffen, kantig, spielerisch, verspielt, zuweilen tänzerisch (auch Elefanten können tanzen...)

		ROJAS-SCHMID "SONGBOOK" Die Eigenkompositionen sind grossenteils notiert/komponiert, bei einzelnen „Songs“ sind allerdings lediglich Grundstrukturen festgelegt, die improvisatorisch immer wieder auf andere Art und Weise verwendet und umspielt werden.Wichtigste stilistische Einflüsse und Anregungen kommen aus Rock, Blues, modernem Jazz und zeitgenössischer Musik (von Led Zeppelin über Miles Davis zu John Cage...). Die CD „Songbook“ erscheint im Frühjahr 2005.

		SOUNDSCAPES An old friendship and musical relationship for more than 20 years! Free improvised music with lots of different Instruments and sound colours. Actually we although play together in „Vollmond“ and „EIBUMI“. 1986 we recorded our first and only LP „Soundscapes“ that is still available... (see under Discography). Eine alte Freundschaft und langjährige musikalische Zusammenarbeit (seit über 20 Jahren!). Freie improvisierte Musik mit verschiedensten konventionellen und unkonventionellen Instrumenten und immer auf der Suche nach neuen Klangfarben. Zur Zeit spielen wir auch zusammen in „Vollmond“ und EIBUMI“. 1986 haben wir unsere erste und einzige Duo-LP „Soundscapes“ aufgenommen, die erstaunlicherweise immer noch erhältlich ist... 		TWO TUBAX Two Tubax devotes itself to sound exploration of the deepest wind instruments. Alongside improvisations Two Tubax works on sound pictures, in which they limit themselves to individual sound, harmonic or rhythmic aspects. In addition Two Tubax is building up a repertoire of original compositions and is planning to commission works from others. A promo-CD is available on demand.

		WINDSCHIEF Windschief (“Cockeyed”) Improvisations, concepts and compositions for piano and woodwind instruments. Roger Giroud and Peter Schmid have played together regularly as a duo since 1991. The individual, often very short, pieces usually develop through working out and refining improvised structures. Acoustic, rhythmic but also tonal aspects may be emphasized and help determine the course. A final version of a piece never exists, since the basic idea is usually only sketchy, something which can be continually reinterpreted in a different way and through repeated performance, condensed, revised, transformed. Konzepte und Kompositionen für Piano und Holzblasinstrumente. Roger Girod und Peter Schmid spielen seit 1991 regelmässig im Duo zusammen. Die einzelnen, häufig recht kurzen Stücke entstehen meist durch Ausarbeiten und Verfeinern von erimprovisierten Strukturen. Klangliche, rhythmische aber auch tonale Aspekte können im Vordergrund stehen und den Ablauf mitbestimmen. Eine endgültige Version eines Stückes gibt es nie, da die Grundidee meist nur skizzenhaft vorliegt, immer wieder auf andere Art und Weise interpretiert werden kann und sich durch wiederholtes Spielen verdichtet, verändert, verwandelt.
